There’s no place like home…

I thought I’d share with you this video that is currently played on lebanese TV’s. Since the blasts started in Lebanon, in february 2005, the lebanese diaspora hesitates to return to Lebanon to spend vacations. Numerous members of parliament and intellectuals, even journalists, were killed during the past two years. The aim was to stop the popular movement called “March 14″ from getting bigger. The “March 14″ alliance had indeed succeeded in getting the syrian occupation out of the country. But the syrian influence in Lebanon is still strong, and Damascus often uses violence like booby trapped cars to silence its opponents.

In this video, we can see families waiting for their loved ones at the airport. The scene is always very touching, since lot of people are waiting and when they finally see the person they have been waiting for, it always ends up with kisses, hugs and tears.

Hope you enjoy
