Almost two weeks after Kosovo’s unilateral declaration of independence – in the end of a process that started in 1991 with Croatian war and led to the disintegration of former Yugoslavia – the Serbian branch of an international female organization against war published a book that might be a landmark in the history of the conflict.
It is an “anthology of letters and notes by Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Albanian women that brings together a female point of view from all sides of the brutal conflicts” that swept the region. “A Woman’s Side of War”, “collects 120 stories written by women who witnessed wars in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo, as well as the 1999 NATO bombing of Serbia”. You can read the full story in Reuters website.
