Israel the state of Hate

March 2nd, 2008 by SA (Alexandria, Egypt) · 4 Comments

Gaza is burning ,the world is watching , some western media is calling the Israeli crime “Middle East violence”

Killing children and women and civilians is not just violence, it’s crime against humanity .
putting Gaza under siege for long days and prevent the principale means for living to the people is not violence, it is crime.

    Is Israel the only one?

Israel is one of the few states who can go on and kill people without provoking a huge reaction inside the international comunity. In July 2006, Israel threw more than 1 million cluster bombs on Lebanon. Till now, everyday, espescially in the South, people die because they step on an unexploded cluster bomb while working their land. Cluster bombs are forbidden by the International humanitarian law, but Israel just manages to get though with this. Even the Winograd report did not criticize the state of Israel for using this kind of weapons. Cluster bombs are bombs inside a bomb, so the damage done is huge.

It’s interesting that you mention the way the Israeli campaign against Gaza is being reported in the West as a kind of generic ‘Middle East violence’, as I am finding that the reporting from the BBC here in the UK has been very balanced, if not leaning distinctly in favour of the Palestinian cause.

I listen to a really good round up of world news each night on BBC Radio 4 called called The World Tonight. The link here is to their blog, with an example of their reporting on the Middle East and the situation in Gaza. The comments are very interesting - one claiming that the programme’s has an anti-Israeli bias.

Annihiler. Déportés. Etouffés. Meurtris. Violés. Violentés. Humiliés. Oubliés. Méprisés. Laissés pour compte. Laissés pour morts. Piétinés. Poussés à l’extrémisme.
