This is not Arnold Schwarzenegger’s movie “Junior”, but this is a true story about an American woman, Tracy Lagondino, who had women as a preference and used to be lesbian. One day, she decided to have a sex change operation in order to be “legally” a man! Tracy turned out to be Thomas Beatie a transgender who kept his reproductive organs as a female.
Ten years ago, Thomas got married to “Nancy”, and both decided to have a child. But the problem emerged when it was impossible for Nancy to have a baby as she underwent a hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus) 20 years ago.
So Thomas decided to get pregnant as “to have a biological child is neither a male nor female desire, but a human desire”.
2 years ago, Thomas got pregnant with triplets, but his pregnancy was ectopic (the fertilized egg has implanted outside the uterus, and usually in the Fallopian tubes), hence, he lost his 3 embryos and one Fallopian Tube. But now his second pregnancy is a success, he is 22 weeks pregnant and is due to give birth to a girl on July 3, 2008.
Thomas, 34 years old, described his feeling about pregnancy saying “it feels incredible!” and he added that he “will be his daughter’s father and Nancy will be her mother”.
This is a real mess!!
