Women outnumber men in the new Spanish cabinet

Spain’s Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero was sworn in for a second term and unveiled his new cabinet, where for the first time women outnumber men. ????????

Nine women and eight men form Spain’s new socialist government vowing to continue its reforms policy. The former housing minister, Carmen Chacon, who is pregnant, became the first ever female defence minister. Zapatero also created a new post, that of Equality Minister, where he appointed another woman, 31-year old Bibiana Aido, the youngest to sit in the government.
