Beware of computer keyboards!!!

May 2nd, 2008 by MP (Athens, Greece) · No Comments

Our computer keyboard may have five times more microbes than our toilet seat. British microbiologists have reached this conclusion after 33 keyboards were examined. Their research showed that 4 out of 33 keyboards were regarded as a potential health hazard and one harboured five times more germs than one of the office’s toilet seats.
The microbes found in the keyboards could cause either food poisoning or staphylococcus. Microbiologist Dr Peter Wilson at
University College London Hospital said a keyboard was often “a reflection of what is in our nose and in our gut”. Experts claim that if somebody has a cold in your office, or even has gastroenteritis, it is very likely to pick it up from a keyboard.

So, roll up your sleeves….Give your computer a scholastic clean… !!!!
