My inventory of living, from Beirut

July 30th, 2008 by LM (Beirut, Lebanon) · No Comments

It’s been a while since I last wrote something here. My life has been quite hectic, not really peaceful and easy…

on the 11th of July, my mom and sis came from Paris to spend few months in Beirut

of course it’s always great to have family reunions, but the houe just keeps being messy and nothing is controlled by me anymore :D which is quite frustrating

Lebanon has been on hold since its government is still not officially formed. talks about the ministerial declaration that has to present the new cabinet’s political and economical program are still underway while lebanese are just waiting…for their politicians to get along and allow the country to move forward

Violence is everywhere: in the streets people are yelling at each other while driving, looters wait for people at night to steal purses and cars, its like everything is permitted and its a heavy atmosphere

The lebanese living abroad are back, so the in a very paradoxal way, the nightlife is great, people are going out every night and partying till dawn.
