It has to stop!

Women and sexual harrassement seems to be the hot topic of the year. Despite of all the efforts exerted by the various civil societies in Egypt, sex offenders simply continue their sick attitude and in most cases, wander freely without punishment.

According to BBC’s recent survey, 4 out of 5 women in Egypt are sexually harassed! But streets are not the only place, public transportation, work place and even in your own car can be attractive places to sex offenders! Also, your dress code nor your social situation do not seem to make a difference. Whether you’re veiled or not, single or not, it does not really matter because you will still get sexually harassed! But what really aggravates the situation, is the reaction of women themselves. Or should I say, their rare and almost none existing reaction. Women opt not to talk about it, nor file a complaint. The best scenarios would be insulting their sex offenders! To read more, please click on BBC link “http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7593765.stm#noha”
