There is a saying in Portuguese that goes like this: “The excuses are not made to be presented. They’re made to be avoided”. Actually it’s a saying that I hate, because sometimes it’s really not your fault. Things happen. The world spins. In my case, I have no strong excuses for not posting on our blog. Some dramatic combination between laziness, change of workplace, new computer and my boyfriend’s knee surgery made it impossible for me to write on our blog for several weeks. So there you go. My excuses are presented. Next time I’ll avoid them. I promise. For the time being, I present myself to duty! Bring it on!
Meanwhile, I give you one of my early drawings that I just found in my parent’s house. I’ll be right back!

It’s great to be back reading the blog, and to see that the child’s drawing of the sky as a blue strip across the top of the paper may well be the universal truth of representation! I’d like to do a survey to see if children in Africa, Australia, South America, Japan draw their skies in the same way as I did in England and Susana did in Portugal.
